It looks like Emily uses a Canon (not sure of the model though, seems better than the xti rebel that I have), and has a macro lens with wide aperture (f/1.4).

4 Well if the silver body is hers, that's the Rebel XT, which was the precursor to the XTi. That macro lens does seem pretty nice, but it's a necessity for flower pics. Stellar shots for the postcards, btw.
