It's interesting how almost everyone knows that last night was on RJ, yet Arod's performance had been singled out. Arod really has to stop putting pressure on himself, otherwise this season will be EXTREMELY long for him. Is it really that hard to loosen up? Giambi got the handle on that for sure. It's kinda intense to watch Arod nowadays, the whole time it's like: I know he's gonna start his hot streak anytime now, but he really has not just yet.
Does anyone miss that good old blowout games from early last month when we can just sit back and have our laughs?
(I know they are still doing good, winning the games...but all that drama...)
Anyhow, although I'm not exactly an Arod fan, I do hope he can break out of...hmmm...whatever the thing is he has with the Sox.
3 rbj, not to worry. YES feed is on Extra Innings tonight at 7 pm EST so you can avoid ESPN. If it's not Morgan tonight, it will probably be Sutcliff (yikes!) unless Berman makes one of his rare appearance.
"That's right John (Miller) - this team blahbbity blah blah blah 1975 Reds blabbity blabbity waiting for the 3-run homeruns blah blah blah gaaaahhhh blabbity too old blah blahhh blabbity blahh blahh pitching bla blah Red Sox have the better lineup blah blah 1975 Reds blah don't miss Damon blabbity"
4 Unless, of course, like me, you live 25 miles outside of Boston, and the Extra Innings feed is blacked out. Of course the ESPN feed is usually blacked out as well, so . . .
3 rbj, I heard on the radio the other day that Morgan is calling both tonight's game and tomorrow's game on ESPN2. If only those guys are firejoemorgan.com would get their wish already.
Man, I can't stand Morgan. So my dilemma is ESPN in hi-def and put up with Joe (I played on the greatest team ever and I will never let you forget it) Morgan or the Extra Innings feed in low-def. I'll probably be flicking back and forth to the Devils anyway, so maybe I just mute it all and crank the new Vines album.
11 3am EST, Yahoo is on PST time, so you are half right. They come out at midnight, but you have to wait for the time difference. (Who you picking up? May help my team too. heh)
Interesting as this may never occured to me, but who else does yahoo fantasy leagues. Maybe we can start one next year with the ones who regular post comments on this site. Anyone game?
Are you asking about Melky? He is already in the Yahoo system from his appearance last season. Otherwise it is a day or two after a player makes their first appearance in the majors.
11 Knuckles, are you asking about Cole Hamels? I am wondering the same thing, though in one league I play in, everyone goes right to waivers when they first become available. And the guy with the #1 waiver claim will definitely get him, sadly.
12 jedi, I play yahoo FBB - I'd be up for a Bronx Banter league next year. That's a great idea!

Not Melky. Anyone who's played before is listed in Yahoo even if they're in the minors. My target, however has yet to play in the bigs. One Cole Hamels. I'm currently sitting at #2 waiver spot in my league, and the #1 is likely to miss out on him (not being a voracious baseball fan), but I'm also wary of him being added as a free agent for anyone to grab.
10 Standup, wow those guys REALY don't like Joe Morgan. He can be a little wordy, a little light on the analytical insight and very much a creature of fond remembrances. Yet, he did declare that Mariano was "magnificent" in 98, really was a great ball player and seems to be a pleasant fellow. I can't actually dislike the man.
As for J. Miller he does seem to become aroused in an odd and unwholesome way when ever the Yankees are scored upon or commit an error. Yet, listening to him on the radio while he did an O's game on a hot July or August afternoon was a great pleasure. When he was fired by Little Petey Angelos for refusing to shill for him it cemented Miller in the minds of many as a working class hero and man of the people. Again I can't dislike the guy.
