He's probably the most 'interesting' FA available right now with the potential to be one helluva utility man, but with some big question marks. I always thought he quit on the Red Sox. I'll never forget the shot of the entire Sox bench standing up on the dugout railing of a yet another thriller vs the Yanks, with Nomar sulking in the shadows, sitting alone on the bench.

If he decides on LA, no great loss. I just hope they take Damon, too.

Well, he had been humbled. His body, always kept in great shape, failed him. After he signs this year, he will already have lost well over 10mil (compared to the Sox offer).

I am no longer angry at him (or at least to the degree I was), and am willing to see him in Pinstripes (however, if the Yanks sign Damon, I may switch to rooting for the Mets). At 7 mil +/- for a single year, I think he is a great gamble, considering how little ground we have made this off-season. I think, as a player, he plays hard and gives his all. As a person, I have reservations. However, I would like to have the Yanks get him.
