Very cool, the Yanks just got a bit better.

Guess we're looking @ an outfield of Nady-Damon-Abreu, with Gardner as a LIDR.

0 Presumably Christian will be sent down? or you could send Ransom down, move Betemit back to the UIF role, but that leaves you a bit exposed on any day Betemit plays 1B.

2 I have a sneaking suspicion that Ransom being there is somehow related to Robbie...

Can Matsui be effective after being on the shelf so long?

2 Betemit shouldn't be playing first base anymore. anytime you don't want to play Giambi, use Nady. For now, anyway, I'd rather see Gardner in center than Betemit at first.

He picks up a bus and he throws it back down
As he wades through the buildings toward the center of town
Oh no, they say he's got to go
Go go Godzilla!

Yay!

I still don't think the Yanks make the playoffs this year, but it'll be fun to watch him mash.

I am afraid of Roy Halladay. Very afraid. That man is the best pitcher in baseball methinks. He already has 8 CGs and an ERA of 2.24. Can it rain inside a dome?

I just cannot believe that we are talking about what we are talking about. Wilson Betamit or Giambi at first, and, if not, Nady? Gardner in Center? How about the lack of an arm in left or a second baseman who doesn't seem to go after every ball. What a defense. Pavano pitching? Sidney Ponson anchoring the staff? Pick on Cash, but what would the team be without Nady, or even Pudge?

I have a friend who lives and dies with the Moose. She is having a good year. I am not. I think I am going to be sick.

That's the least intimidating picture of a Godzilla monster I've ever seen.

11 Pudge hasn't exactly been setting the world on fire since donning the pinstripes.

All to say that the supposed anchors in the infield and outfield are weak to none. Geez, I'm tired of thinking about this team's deficiencies; you don't know how many times I've edited this comment in order to not start a maelstrom of indignant rejoinders over things we can't even control. This is supposed to be fun (to me) and it's not. I can't imagine how A's fans feel right now, because we're not even in their position, but why am I stressing over a team that has the chance, but seemingly not the will or energy to make it to the playoffs (so we can lose in the first round again?)

I'm too spoiled and need to spend some time catching up with Lao Tzu or somebody... (without irony), peace; I'll be back in a little while as I address the infection in my big tao...

11 "the lack of an arm in left"

yeah, 'cause everybody knows left field is where the big arms play ... winfield, parker, evans, clemente, ichiro, all them left field guys with their cannons!!!

if you've passed so far into the realm of hyperventilation, mick, i suggest xanax ... or perhaps merely drinking excessively

14 Actually Chyll, I much, MUCH rather you do start a maelstrom of indignant rejoinders over things we can't even control. (As soon as you tell me what those big words mean...)
