Help
The Big One

Congrats to Tony Dungy, Peyton Manning, Marvin Harrison and the Colts. Not a terrible game, though I'm sure it was maddening for Chicago fans. I loved the fact that the weather had an impact. Manning won the big one. Good for him. Also, I thought Prince killed at halftime. A lot of lesser performers would have wilted under the conditions, but I think they were ideally suited to his sense of drama and theater. He made the most of it; nice guitar work too.

I thought he kind of butchered that snippet of 'All Along the Watchtower', but aside from that it was very impressive.

Prince was by far the best part of that game for me. Game was mostly meh and badly played by both sides for most of it. Prince was rockin and showing that he's still got it, which I had to see to beleive.

I agree with the title post on all counts. Prince was the best halftime show I've seen.

Watching Prince actually SING and PLAY on the Halftime Show rather than lip sync through the whole thing really underscores the difference between the talented performers of our time and the no-talent poseurs (Britney, Jessica & Ashley, I'm talking to YOU).

It was refreshing to see Prince get up there, ignore the harsh elements, and quite obviously kill.

BTW, anyone catch the almost seamless transition from the post game into the first 30 seconds of "Criminal Minds"? As Borat would so eloquently say, "niiice"!

on the other hand, I hope no one else watched the show to its cliff-hanger dopey ending. (Hmmm a deranged lunatic is a few feet away. I think I'll start shouting and running blindly.)

If the Colts had kicked a field goal rather than purposely turn the ball over on downs to kill time and avoid running up the score at the end of the game they would have won by 15 points. I predicted two touch downs. Not too bad.

"Purple Rain" is pretty much a sure thing, to a packed stadium in the actual rain on a big purple neon Prince symbol stage . . . bingo.

Prince was great, but whoever mixed the band into oblivion needs to be dumped in the harbour.

Prince shredded almost to the point of self-indulgence. I was clamoring for Little Red Corvette and Raspberry Beret but he wasn't having it.
