What's with the open collar, dingy shirt look? If this was YES, Alex'd be wearing a smart 3-piece suit. Not a fan of this casual Friday thing going on at SNY...

Hey, you're a natural, Alex! You also had the better strategy while the host was speaking, looking at him instead of staring at the camera, which the Mets expert guy kept doing.

You don't sound like yourself, Alex, which is to say, you don't sound how I'd imagined you'd sound.

Hot damn. I just saw my brother on TV!

And our dad would've been proud, too.

S'ahsum.

5 i thought the same thing! alex's voice is a lot deeper than i was expecting. it was very full and rich and would be excellent for tv/radio.

efrain and steinbrenner both would be proud of your close cropped 'do. i'm afraid they'd hate the pony tail that lays all the way down my back and my goatee, but you'll have that... : )

great job, alex!

Top Notch, Alex. I agree with you, it's time for the Yanks to rock. Sweep this series and the upcoming Detroit to Tampa to Seattle to LA trip looks a LITTLE less daunting. I'd take 2 of 3 though.

If Belth grew his hair out, he'd look like the 40's, 50's and early 60's film star Victor Mature!

Nice job Alex. I thought you were skinny and had a voice like Ken Burns but instead you are bringing it like a cross between James Earl Jones and Kyle Farnsworth. Don't mess with THE Bronx Banter!

13 Totally! That's exactly right.

I'd actually heard Alex on the radio a year or two ago, talking about Curt Flood, and had the same reaction then. So even though I already knew he didn't sound as you describe, I still half expected him to this time around.

:)
