My appearance on Yankee Fan Club Radio this evening can be found here. My segment starts around the 18:50 mark. In it I discuss Phil Hughes and his rough outing in today's game, Carl Pavano, and, briefly, Roger Clemens.

Good interview Cliff. As far as what you said about trading Pavano, I think the yanks only do it if they get Clemens OR Hughes pitches well in Scranton.

Otherwise you can never have too much pitching. Just ask the Sox about last year.

1 Agreed, but I expect at least one of those things to happen.

Nice job on the radio, Cliff.

NY Daily News has the new contract figures for "The Young Bucks" who signed yesterday:

Wang: $489,000
Cano: $490,000
Melky: $430,000
Proctor: $442,000

I know it's not fair to compare but:
Doug Out: $1,500,000

Nice job, Cliff. He did pronounce your name differently than I expected. Also, my wife thought you sounded like Cashman.

4 Ah yes, I forgot to mention that. He didn't check with me and pronounced my name incorrectly. It's KOR-kor-an, just like the Art Gallery, the realator, the Californian town, mountain, and jail, the Devil Rays pitcher, the 1800s no-hit hurler, and another couple hand fulls of major leaguers in between. I have no known relation to any of the above.

6 I, for one, and devistated that Sam Neill won't be in Jurassic Park IV.

Cliff, nice job on the interview.

Any update on Andy Phillips?

8 He returned to the team this past Wednesday. He's hitting against Andy Pettitte in the simulated game today with the hope of getting into a game as soon as tomorrow.

Very random question...I'm looking at TheGameLive.com to see the Yanks radio affiliates, and there's an FM station out of Newburgh (96.7) that supposedly carries the games. Anyone know how strong that signal is...does it reach North Jersey? Alternatively, anyone know of maybe a more complete list of radio affiliates?
I just ordered a new phone, and it's got FM radio in it...

11 I discovered 96.7 last summer. It comes in beautifully in the Sparta area, and it almost syncs up to the TV broadcasts -- so no Joe Morgan!

12 and no Joe Buck!

I dunno, Sliced. I think at this point I'd take Morgan and Buck together over Lord and Lady Windbag.

14 Yeah, it's a tough call which set of windbags to tune in/tune out. When in doubt, I tend to go with the homers because you know what you're going to get. Buck and Morgan are so out-of-touch with the Yanks it can be infuriating.

Murcer, Singleton, and Corcoran would be great.
