Schilling is a Blowhard Drama Queen who happens to be a heck of a pitcher. I don't have any sympathy for him. If he was a Yankee, Sox fans would hate him more than they hate A-Rod.

Joe, agreed. Is anyone surprised by the breakdowns on either team so far? Wright, Wells, Schilling - what a shocker. The Sox might be better prepared to handle injury though will Miller just about ready though.

See along, the so-called baseball experts were right, the Red Sox starting rotation was just fine. It was the only the Yankees rotation that was old and injury prone. At least, the Yankees pitchers aren't overweight. Boomer on the DL for about a month unable to workout. We should start a pool on how many lbs he gains. I'm going for 20lbs.

Schilling needs to shut up and leave Lou alone. I bet Sweet Lou could take Schilling. Heck, I would pay to see that. Just wait until Low sics those Tampa Bay pitchers with their lack of control on the Red Sox hitters next time they play.

Maybe, but who's to say that his arm issues don't come back as well.

When starting the season off slowly as the Yanks have done, the major concern is that the team in first place runs away with the division before your team has the chance to right its ship.

With the Red Sox injuries, the Yanks may have some time to right their ship and get to where they should be, winning at a .650 pace -- that is unless Baltimore doesn't run away with the division first.

"that is unless Baltimore doesn't run away with the division first."

Imagine that. If the Yanks are gonna break their streak of division titles (which I'm not even beginning to suggest they will), I'd prefer an upstart O's team do it with the Sox finishing third. Yanks are just 1.5 games behind the Sox right now, and that's before Wells and Schilling hit the schelf.

Awww...a pity. No, really, I'm fighting back tears.

Let's see if the Sox can bounce back from this like the Yankees had to do in a similar situation last year.

It's a shame about Curt; his mouth was just rounding into midseason form.

I like how the Sux' silver bullet answer to their injury woes is...a pitcher coming off of a major injury.

I'd put money on Sweet Lou in a fight against Schilling. :D

LOL. Schilling has been Boston's worst starter thus far and the "Sux" still have, well, at least played .500. Whether or not Miller contributes, the Sox will probably stay afloat and then some until Schill rounds into form.

Yep, and if Schilling was a Yankee you'd love him more than you love A-Rod, too.

Hell, I'd prob. love Jeter if he was in a Sox uniform. This is news?
